A Note from RVAA President, Jim Stark

The Fall season has officially arrived, and brings with it the beginning of RVAA’s WEBtober Dealer Training opportunity. RVAA’s Education Committee has rolled back the price of hosting a training webinar throughout the balance 2014. Past experience has proven the 4th quarter to be one of the best times to host a training webinar. As the season winds down, RV Dealer’s schedules are more flexible, and they have more time for employee training. We encourage all our members to take full advantage of our half-off pricing during RVAA’s WEBtober training promotion.

The 2014 second quarter survey report form for our MAT Program was sent out recently to the designated party at each RVAA member organization. If you have not had a chance to participate, or would like to learn more about this new and exciting industry changing initiative, I encourage you to reach out to any of our MAT Task Force Committee members and/or Laura Hallen, who will put you in touch with the right people to answer your questions. The dedicated members of the Mat Task Force would be more than happy to offer their assistance to anyone who would like to discuss this further. They will also be sending out a special instructional recording with document samples for your viewing reference in the near future. This will be produced by the Task Force Group to offer additional resources for your consideration in participating in this new initiative.

We were pleased to announce the location for RVAA’s 2015 Executive Conference at the close of our recent Conference in New Orleans. To re-confirm, the 2015 Executive Conference will be held the week of August 18-21, 2015 at the Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel in Vancouver, Canada. We will be including this information on our website shortly, along with additional reminders for “saving this date” on your calendar and more information about this exciting venue. Check the expiration dates on your passports – and if you don’t already have one, you need to get one ordered right away – because you won’t want to miss out on our Vancouver Conference destination, and if you’re traveling from the U.S., you can’t get there without a valid U.S. Passport!

Best regards,

Jim Stark
